Pallas’s Warbler

Pallas’s Warbler

After a disappointing Seawatch this morning, and after arriving at the Obs, we found that the Pallas’s Warbler rung on Sunday had been caught again in the moat, always worth a photo.

Dungeness, across the peninsula today 1000’s of Swallows, Sand Martins & House Martins passed through, this afternoon Jacob had a net up in the moat, these are some of the Sand Martins which came in and settled on the net rather than go into it.

Lovely to find and watch this Todd’s Canada emerge from the mist with the Pinks this morning at #BanksMarsh - smallish bird, nice dark breast, really at home in the Pinks, constantly feeding - cracker #UKbitding

This massive northern argentatus at #Marshside stood out against the local Herrings (back left in zoomed out shot) - a lovely wing pattern, which is more than can be said for the weather! #gulls #ukbitding

While I am not dripping in eastern gems, I can take small solace in terms of new birds for either the Garden or the patch. And so it was that a Redshank finally gave itself up and flew over the garden this morning #65 and then a Shoveler flew over the Hobhole Patch this evening #99 #ukbitding
