On 23 March, IBA President Claudio Visco introduced a side event in the margins of #UNHRC61 on the critical role of state cooperation with the #ICC. IBA Executive Director Dr Mark Ellis joined the panel, which was co-organised by the IBA and the Permanent Mission of Belgium in Geneva.
IBAHRI and the International Commission of Jurists issued a joint statement at #UNHRC61 condemning ongoing repression of civil society in #Belarus, in particular attacks against #lawyers representing dissenting voices and defending #HumanRights and the #RuleOfLaw.
