I'm reading Stan Sakai's Usagi Yojimbo series. The subject description for the volume Crossroads in the National Library of Poland catalog uses the descriptor "European rabbit." But is that really the best term for Usagi Yojimbo?

A series of three panels from Usagi Yojimbo where Gen, an anthropomophic samurai ronin rhino, walking with Usagi Yojimbo, an anthropomorphic samurai ronin rabbit. Gen is upset that Usagi just killed a friend in a duel of honor, insisting that Usagi that is a thusly a danger to him, his "best friend", while Usagi retorts with a series of insults as he protests not being Gen's friend. Gen replies that that's flattery, and demands Usagi buy him a drink to cope with listening to the rest of Usagi's explanation.
Gen and Usagi are escaping a jail, and they see an old woman they know also imprisoned. Gen insists she'll just be a burden, and Usagi doubts Gen's sincerity in that statement. Gen, frustrated, agrees he didn't mean it and agrees to help her.
Gen and Usagi are standing outside of a house. After revealing he showed mercy to his rival, Usagi calls him a "softie", while Gen says he's as tough and hard as ever, and insists in standing outside to listen to the rain.
When an owl shows up in the rain, Gen howls at the bird, insisting it can't take his ailing rival (an owl here is an omen of death) and shouts and throws a rock at it, causing it to flee as he fumes while getting soaked.
I love Gen so much.

#movieandtvchallenge A TV-Show With Animated Characters: #teenagemutantninjaturtles Today in hindsight we can see the original 1987 TMNT cartoon being far from perfect, it was mostly corny & it had a few animation errors, but back then we didn't care & we still loved it! Everyone I knew were TMNT fans & they all had their favorite Turtle, many liked Michaelangelo & Donatello, I knew one person who liked Raphael & my favorite back then was Leonardo because he had katanas, blue bandana & wristbands cause blue is my favorite color & he was the most skilled among his brothers. Today I like them all equally cause of their own personalities.
