Absolutely no mention of any NPI apart from masks in #HICPAC meeting today (& even that is minimal & doesn't take into account air loading with pathogens)
This is totally depressing as resp diseases have an airborne pathway that can transmit throughout a facility

This was a 2000 W (!!) high intensity 254 nm #UVGI light that would not be operated when occupied. A fallow time should be added after disinfecting. Other #UVC situations need studying too.

New modeling shows #UVGI can create secondary compounds from contaminants, some may be harmful.
My take: Best to add UV to spaces with moderate #ventilation & #filtration, not as a substitute.

Until it's widely accepted that #COVIDIsAirborne AND we have widely implemented the triad of engineering indoor controls of #ventilation, #filtration, and #UVGI this won't end.
The analogy is municipal water treatment and sewage treatment to stop cholera.
