I live in Edmonton.
West Edmonton Mall (WEM) have long taken US$ (dunno about now.)
They definately made money on the exchange.
And I'm sure it was an effective sales pitch for US shoppers.
I also know businesses who dealt with Americans who presumed their $ was acceptable anywhere. #UhNo
