Ulster Shield: Belfast Harlequins 3 Portadown 3 Pool A. We caught up with the Denman Ulster Shield match between Belfast Harlequins and Portadown at Deramore Park on Saturday lunchtime. The first half was very even from both sides, and both had multiple short corners and some good scoring chances. However, despite this, the first half ended 0 - 0. Evie Girvan scored an early brace for Portadown In the third quarter, Portadown struck early with a great finish from Evie Girvan, who followed this up again five minutes later to score a second goal for the team, giving the visitors a 0 - 2 lead.

Ulster Shield: Pegasus 2 Ulster University Elks 2 It was dull, grey, overcast and cold for the lunchtime push back in Denman Shield tie between Pegasus and Ulster Elks at The Dub, on Saturday. Floodlights lifted the scene but couldn’t take away from the raw cold. Pegasus set about business from push back, trapping Elks in their half and testing their keeper. A stubborn Elks defence held out in a scoreless 1st quarter.
