Far prouder of this #UniVersus edit though. "Keeping Eri Safe" is such an #MHA specific name, so I was over the mood when I realised #Gundam could fit it too! 💖
The UniVersus card "High Value Target", from Crimson Rampage, the game's second My Hero Academia set. It has been remade in Dan's own simplified version of the game's post-Jet Burn frames with a zoom in on Martin Handford's art from the classic Where's Wally books. However, upon closer inspection, the character it's been centred upon has long hair and a chest outline. The card, itself, reads: 1 High Value Target +3 Low (Earth), (Good), (Life) Foundation When committing cards to pass a check to play a block, this card counts as 2 foundations. Response: Before 1 of your foundations would be destroyed due to a rival effect, sacrifice this foundation instead. 5
Being told I didn't even manage to find Wally for this card I edited but his girlfriend, Sally, who dresses the same.

The third Nomu, from My Hero Academia, featured in UniVersus. This one, like Hood, is named for her key identifying feature but, in this case, that's apparently just being a woman. Her card reads: 6 Woman +0 Mid 5 Handsize 34 Health (Evil), (Fire), (Void) Character Nomu, Villain Enhance Remove 1 card from your discard pile: Your attack gets +1 speed and +2 damage. If you removed an attack, it gets an additional +2 damage. Response Commit: Before the Block Step of your rival's attack, it gets -3 speed. Draw 1 card. 6 And, of course, the art shows her rushing at the viewer ferociously, hair blowing back from the nomu's signature exposed brain.
Internation Women's Day got me thinking about Woman again. Easily the most stupidly named #MHA character but one of my favourite #UniVersus aggro decks and one I'm sorely going to miss in the 2023 format.
Such a shame I drew badly on the day or I think she could really have taken me overseas.
