After a far too long hiatus due to illness and lack of oxygen, I finally got to run my Tuesday night #UrbanShadowsRPG game last night set in Nome, Alaska.
And the players promptly blew up the plot, themselves and a grand number of the locals.
Now I have to figure out the aftermath...
My Nome #UrbanShadowsRPG game took a turn for the surreal as one of the players thought it'd be a great idea to steal the literal Golden Apples of Discord.
The entire city is now infatuated with him to an unhealthy degree. The other PCs played along.
One did blurt out:
"This is so cursed."
Last night's game of #UrbanShadowsRPG ended up with a prisoner situation as well but didn't go as well.
I warned them that screwing around with the evil lawyer might be problematic but nooooooo.....let's immediately go to torture!
The PCs deserved everything that happened to them.
Don't you love when players just absolutely shatter your carefully laid out exposition dump masked as a town hall meeting? It's just great when they just kidnap the representative of the big bad guy and start 'negotiating' for information.

After the terrible, very bad, no good dice rolling of our last session of #UrbanShadowsRPG, the players got a bit of a reprieve and may have discovered a clue as to what's ACTUALLY going on.
Well, most of them. Some of them just got hammered on cursed vodka. It happens.

She is covered in scars and has one tattoo showing on her hip area. Her hair is bleach blonde, and covers one side of her face and eye. One of their hands is poking at jace— and she seems annoyed. Jace is a taller pale unicorn man with opalescent hair and a pinj unicorn horn (technically a bi-nicorn but anyway). He has a cane in his left hand, and wears more baggy covering clothes then his girlfriend. He has a goatee, and seems smug about something.

The TNC has managed to stop the infernal assassin from killing one of their own in #UrbanShadowsRPG by banishing him back to the hell from whence he game.
He's now texting one of the PCs looking for book recommendations because he's very bored in this particular hell.
Always a good time in #UrbanShadowsRPG when you continually describe the infernal being as horrible and yet the players STILL are shocked when he turns on them.
Remember, wearing glasses, being well read and drinking tea doesn't immediately make you the good guy.
I mean, look at the British.
Infernal honorable assassins that you just can't help but love, quantum gnomes ignoring city politics and a nasally vampire prince with a backdrop of the Aurora Borealis.

Infernal tap dancing.

I knew the TNC would take the Nome, Alaska setting for #UrbanShadowsRPG and run the pun into the ground but seriously, they're causing serious SAN loss at this point.
Also, important life lesson for one of the PCs : never speak to a lawyer without your lawyer present. Especially a Fae lawyer.
The TNC's #UrbanShadowsRPG campaign is shaping up nicely with all of the players having a character idea and some even getting their sheets to me early!
The setting is a bit hard mode because I foolishly let the players choose The City's real world location.
