Zenitsu is in a city somewhere far away from the last place that had just begun to feel like home. It has been almost a year since heโs seen Tengen - or any of his loved ones - and itโs weighing on him heavily. He rarely sleeps and barely eats, the latter only because of the kind old neighbor lady making sure he has a meal more often than not. Zenitsu is lost and hollow, but thereโs no way he can go back, not after the way heโd blown up on Tengen, cursing him for things heโd had no hand in, and then disappeared without any explanation. Kaigaku was still haunting him after all this time, destroying the happiness Zenitsu had managed to gain since escaping his abuse. One cold, rainy night, Zenitsu is awoken by a knock at his door. Thinking it is his kind old neighbor, he opens his door only to find Tengen standing outside, wet from the incessant rain that had been falling for a week. His rich, familiar voice fills Zenitsu with warmth. โItโs been a while, Sunshine.โ

I had an idea for today's #UzuzenWeek2025 prompts Cooking and Birthday, but I didn't get around to drawing it.
It would have been something like Uzui and Zen cooking/baking together on Zen's bday and Uzui has something on fire and a big grin while Zen freaks out. ๐
