25th anniversary review: Dashboard Confessional – “The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most”

On this day in 2001, Rocket From The Crypt released their sixth studio album and first on #vagrantrecords, Group Sounds.
The first since the departure of drummer Atom Willard but its a corker of an album that deserves so much more attention than it got. Especially love Out Of Control!
On this day in 2004, The Get Up Kids released their fourth studio album, Guilt Show on #vagrantrecords
Although their sound had changed from their first 2 albums, this is a superb one! I especially love The One You Want, amazing tune!
I heard a song on the radio a few minutes ago called Gone, Gone, Gone. This song by John Ralston is much better.

Happy Birthday to Eudora, the compilation album by The Get Up Kids released on this day in 2001 on #vagrantrecords
The album is basically a number of covers, demos or versions and includes a cover of #neworder Regret and a great cover of Suffragette City!
On this day in 2002, Rocket From The Crypt released their seventh studio album, Live from Camp X-Ray on #vagrantrecords
This is the final album the band have released and despite the title, it wasn't a live album!
Cracking album!

On this day in 2005, Alkaline Trio released their fifth studio album, Crimson on #vagrantrecords
Another superb album by the trio! Time To Waste, Mercy Me, Burn, all amazing songs!
On this day in 2002, The Get Up Kids released their third studio album, On A Wire, on #Vagrantrecords
Remember buying this from Play.com at the time and wondering if it was the same band, completely different sound to the first 2 emo albums but loved it. Overdue!
The Get Up Kids - ‘Guilt Show’

I’m not sure that the Get Up Kids records are really primed for vinyl (true of many similar bands!) but it was a fiver, I like the Get Up Kids and I like collecting.
