Cy, grabbing Aris scarred hands and putting it to his bare waist through his now open robe. Cy: "Well, what if I want you to touch me? And what if I want to touch you, see how fall apart at my fingertips, how your cheeks warm at the slightest compliment? What if I like looking at you?" Ari, as a gesture at this cheek scar: "I'd make a disappointing picture with this ugly thing on my face" Cy -- runs a finger across it with great care: "Whats a work of art without a few cracks in it?"

(1/?) Jayde is not immune to physical attraction & tends to think a lot of people are hot (regardless of gender lmao). Hot people can intimidate her a bit, and she’s an awkward mess when she’s attracted to someone & romantically interested in them. Book 1 makes that very clear. 💀
