#VanGogh vivió emparejado con Sien Hoornik en La Haya entre 1881 y 1883, y fue su relación más larga conocida. Existe una serie de bosquejos y pinturas dedicados a Sien, que fue su modelo. En 1883 le dijo a Vincent que finalizaría su vida "saltando al agua". En 1904 muere al lanzarse al río Schelde.

Contrario también a lo difundido por años, #VanGogh sí vendió algunas de sus obras, siendo "Viñedo Rojo" (1888) su pintura más conocida de las ventas que hizo en vida (400 francos de la época en una exposición de Bruselas en 1890). Actualmente se encuentra en el Pushkin Museum de Moscú.
