I could've sworn that the objective tracker or waypoints were incorrectly visible all the time before but now it looks like setting Gameplay > Wayfinding > Exploration Preset to Pulse Only does correctly hide both the target marker and waypoints!

I really like that the hints setting in Veilguard affects both the little tutorial boxes and the in-game hints spoken by characters, although it would be nice if the latter were separately controllable.

The Veilguard lipsyncs in various languages have a really good balance between fidelity to the sounds and maintaining characteristics and mannerisms.

It’s not perfect, Neve for example 😳 loses a little bit of the pursing of lips and crookedness of smile she has in English.

(And once again note that #VeilguardAppreciations it’s specifically notable because the rest of the time animations are fantastic.)

And #VeilguardAppreciations the DOF is actually pretty good and doesn't even interfere with hair *much* even in gameplay shots (in fact I rarely have any problems except if I'm recording it at the same time)

There was a lot of clever optimization, and while it's not open world, the 'corridors' were quite wide and especially Arlathan had a lot of freedom.

Overall such a pleasure, and though it took a couple missions to get used to, I loved the art direction and detail. #Veilguard #VeilguardAppreciations

And one of those good things, narratively? The sentimental reveal in the main quest to find the ritual location.

Snow in the mountains is very nicely done, from the fresh powder on the shady side to the thinner, slowly melting coating with hollowed-out pockets where the sun is heating up the stone.
