The Fall of Saigon, Fifty Years Later It was a stunning foreign policy defeat and a victory for our humanity.

The Vietnam War is tied to all of us in some way. For all of the bungling and the atrocities of the war itself, though, the last days of Saigon highlighted the best of America. We could stand to remember that again.
