In the early 1990's a new signals facility was created to support continued development of Viggen, and Gripen.
At AMPA (Antennmätplats Arboga) a complete aircraft could be raised and measured from almost any angle.

SK 37E Viggen 37809/SE-DXO, operated by the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight. This organization operates the last two airworthy Viggens. This one, in splinter camouflage, wears the markings of F15 Wing. Based at Söderhamn, this unit once acted as the Operational Conversion Unit for the Viggen.

Earlier today the #Viggen had a brief spell with the sun on its wings, as the move was undertaken to extract the #Swift #WK277 from #NAMHangar2 ready for its move to a new home – the #Viggen is now back undercover.

This Viggen was painted in the occasion of a goodbye ceremony. The aircraft was retired in 2005 from the Swedish airforce, who today uses Gripen(s). The Viggen was a very nice aircraft, in advance of it's time. I love it.

I must say, this boi has a special place in my heart. I love it. It was really fun to do as well, but we're not gonna talk about the cockpit (especially the instruments and avionics) which alone took me 5 days to do. Worth it...
