Really enjoyed the opportunity to present today at @mybisa.bsky.social #VirtualBISA2025. I presented my work in progress on the new forms of donor presence in aid-recipient countries and the implications for country ownership. Thank you to the other presenters and discussant for a great panel!

Enjoying day 2 of #VirtualBISA2025. Presented at kick-off slot yesterday (on #pacifist reflections on #Ukraine: doi.org/10.1093/ia/i...), & presenting again in closing slot tomorrow (on anarcho-pac reflections for critical #terrorism studies) virtualconference.bisa.ac.uk
At #VirtualBISA2025, both @therealisthom.bsky.social and Andrew Mumford gave advice for ECRS doing reviews: be collegial, be critical, and be constructive. Excellent three C's to keep in mind!

I'm dipping in and out of #VirtualBISA2025 this week in between marking a big pile of essays - after complaining about BISA annual conferences no longer being hybrid, the introduction of a virtual conference is an accessibility win. I hope it will continue to grow.
