I had someone here disparage me for the work I do cleaning the highway. Apparently, cleaning the highway from trash once a month for 36 years isn't "altruistic" enough. Not going to stop me from continuing to make our planet a cleaner place than when it was found. #VisibleAltruism
Disappointing that you have to put me down for the volunteer work I have done monthly for 36 years, as well as being President of #AANR. The #VisibleAltruism program highlights what we do as naturists for our community.
Why do I clean the highway month after month, year after year? Because I love my community and my state. This is my way of giving back. There are those who talk about doing and those who just do it. #VisibleAltruism
Made it out to clean the highway yesterday before the rain today. I thought I would do some fun poses as my work proof since I have done so many serious ones. #VisibleAltruism
Back from vacation and jumped right back into #visiblealtruism. Volunteering can make such an impact on your community. The payment is not in money but rather the feeling you get by giving up your time in the service of others.
We participated in the "Trashure Hunt" for the yearly California Coastal Cleanup Day. Had some egret supervisors watching our progress. We cleaned Bates Beach on the non-nude side. Thanks to all the volunteers who showed up to make this happen. #VisibleAltruism
Starting my weekend right by cleaning up the highway. It is my way of giving back to the state in which I was born and live in as well as taking care of the Earth for future generations. What volunteer activities do you participate in? #VisibleAltruism
Cleaned up my highway so those traveling for the #FourthofJuly holiday will see nothing but a nice view as they drive by. #VisibleAltruism
As part of the #CleanCA program, I keep the recyclables from the trash I pick up and donate the proceeds to a local animal shelter. The aluminum tabs go to a resort that funds dental care for Veterans. The highway gets cleaned as well. Everybody wins! #VisibleAltruism
The farmers planted the field adjacent to my highway cleanup area so we had to dodge the sprinkler overage while cleaning the highway. We were not successful all the time and got wet but we got the job done. Check out my new sign! #VisibleAltruism
Donating platelets and red blood cells today due to need. Gives me time to catch up naturist podcasts. It's a win-win situation! #VisibleAltruism
We were out early to beat the forecasted rain here. We only got four bags of trash this time! All our hard work last month really paid off and my section was clean. #VisibleAltruism
Adopt-A-Highway clean up day. We had quite a bit of trash out there so we filled 9 bags plus things too big to be bagged. Now when people whiz by on the 101 in California, they will see the beautiful ocean and not trash. #VisibleAltruism
Back to the original portion of the freeway I adopted 35 years ago! There was work in my area for about 3 years, so I adopted another portion so I could keep on serving the #AdoptAHighway program. Look at the Channel Islands behind me! #VisibleAltruism
Showing my highway some love because it is #HappyValentinesDay. I am in my 34th year of keeping California clean by picking up trash. There is something so rewarding about being in the service of others. 18 bags today! #VisibleAltruism
