Fifty years (34/50) I was part of the team working on the Noviodunum Archaeological Project, #Romania. Here I am applying sun block before a day of pick-up survey. The sun block was green when you first put it on then faded so that you were sure you didn't miss a spot. #VoteKris #RomanArchaeology

Fifty years (32/50) I stood for 'Head Boy' at #TheHowardSchool in 1982 as I wanted to give the leavers speech at the end of the year. I lost. Turned out Peter, who won, really didn't want to give the speech, so I got to give it anyway in the summer of 1983. @uclarchaeology.bsky.social #VoteKris

Fifty years (31/50) Two pictures of me standing over the #PrimeMeridian at #Greenwich, one taken in the 1970s, one taken in 2015. Both were taken when on a Society coach outing. In the earlier one I just rocked-up and took the photo. In the latter, there was a queue for #Selfies! #VoteKris

Fifty years (14/50) Back to the early days. Here I am helping to excavate a section in Well Wood, #Hertfordshire. The wood is next to Chapel Wood where I first excavated in 1976. Fifty years 5/50. I have often travelled to excavations, surveys and events on my motorcycle as I don't drive. I rode to Wroxeter in 1984 on a Honda C70, 145 miles at 30mph. I especially enjoyed riding a combination. Here I am on my Honda Benly with sidecar. @uclarchaeology.bsky.social #VoteKris
