🔥 #WHRDAdvocacyWeek has kicked off in Geneva! Ten women human rights defenders are here to advance Indigenous Peoples’ rights, climate justice, and environmental protection. Meet them and follow their advocacy this week.
During #WHRDAdvocacyWeek, women defenders will advance their advocacy by meeting with Special Procedures mandate holders, diplomats, and UN staff. They will also connect with Geneva’s international community to strengthen solidarity and impact.
The participants of #WHRDAdvocacyWeek 2025 met with OHCHR staff to share context on challenges faced by WHRDs defending land and environmental rights and to learn more about OHCHR’s mandate.
