Wartime zoo tips for food savings:

1. Plant victory gardens.
2. Feed zoo animals "patriotic diets" (cat meat + cod's liver oil = substitute for fresh fish).
3. Feed some animals to other animals.
4. Close the zoo.

Not sure these tips are helpful....
