A page from the Australian Woman’s Mirror Knitting Book from 12 April 1938. It features an ad for the yarn featured in the previous 2 pictures.

The ad declares:
Good news for knitters!
At last - an all-wool knitting yarn guaranteed never to shrink
Sun-glo shrinkproof wool

It goes on to sing the praises of its quality, describe the yarn weights available, the prices for each.

This skein of Sun-glo may well be my oldest vintage yarn. This ad from 1938 uses the same logos as the label on my skein, these logos had changed by the next ad I found which was from 1944. #vintageknitting #vintageyarn #WW2vintage #knitsky 🧶
