Mallards are large ducks with hefty bodies, rounded heads, and wide, flat bills. Like many “dabbling ducks” the body is long and the tail rides high out of the water, giving a blunt shape. In flight their wings are broad and set back toward the rear.
Why don't ducks fly upside down?🤔
Because if they did, they would quack up.🤪

So here's your little blue & white space projector torch posing on the Little Etobicoke Creek Trail near the end (close to the road almost), past the tractors on the right side of the trail. It's beside a tree now.
This is where your child's blue and white space projector torch was when I left that part of the trail behind! Little Etobicoke Creek (Applewood Trail) at the far end near the highway. It should still be there I hope you find it!

Looks like someone's child left their Projector Torch on the Little Etobicoke Creek Trail. It's on the return side of the creek (past the tractors) at the north west end. #WalkSauga
Cooper's hawks are medium-sized hawks, approximately crow-sized, with a characteristic "accipiter" shape: broad, rounded wings and a long tail. Adults have steely blue-gray upperparts and white underparts with rufous barring. Juveniles are brown above and crisply streaked with brown on their upper breast. They are skilled fliers, known for their rapid, short wing beats followed by glides. Cooper's hawk high up in a large tall tree visible from the Applewood Trail, if you're looking for it. Late May 6th evening as the sun is headed down. Sometimes called the golden hour. A rabbit had crossed the trail maybe a hundred meters ahead of me just past this spot. 🤠🤙📿

Dark blue fields, separated into week days ... Monday to Friday ... first two days show light blue rain 1-3 mm on Monday, less than 1mm on Tuesday, and Friday is calling for a full pot of just 5 - 10mm worth of rain drops.

Downy Woodpeckers are small versions of the classic woodpecker body plan. They have a straight, chisel-like bill, blocky head, wide shoulders, and straight-backed posture as they lean away from tree limbs and onto their tail feathers. The bill tends to look smaller for the bird's size than in other woodpeckers.
