Drove down to #Philadelphia today (75 mi) to hear one of last certain concerts of famous 120 year-old #WanamakerOrgan . Macy’s dept store chain is closing this location in 2weeks, & I had never heard organ before. It is on historic registry, so it will be preserved.

Gazing up from the ground floor, the viewer sees an opulent seven story Art Deco department store which houses the Wanamaker Organ, an organ built for the 1904 World Fair.
A 6.5 feet tall sculpted bronze eagle. Behind the Eagle are department store counters and arches on the ground and first floor that lead to other parts of the store.
