Locals wouldn't dream of doing anything in the day. Why, when nights on Europa last 44 hours? If you deployed nearside you at least had Jovelight to help pick out the fissures and craters, but farside all you had above you was infinite stars, and they gave you nothing.

Lost my leg last night to a flash freeze. I can still see it sticking out of the ice a few meters away. Asking me to crawl back to it so I can freeze it back on. I feel like I could jimmy it free with with the butt of my rifle without tearing too much of the flesh. #warforever #icewar #Europa

We were all asleep when the bomb hit the base. It wasn’t the bomb that killed us. It was the cold. It rushed into the base freezing most of us in our sleep. I made it out by only being near the door to the other quarters.
