After last nights painting stream, which was surprisingly productive on my part, we have set up the center of the flame wall, which is the center and source of all the warm OSL on this piece.
I'm starting to actually feel good about this :)

A flower with black petals, named after the founding Duke and Grail Companion of Montfort, Martrud It is in a field of grass in a mountain pass, a castle tower is barely visible in the distance Descrption and such!: "Few things grow on the Axebite pass, the trade route flattened and denuded by over one and a half thousand years of near constant trading and caravans, and yet, Hope has always survived. Martrud's Hope is a tough flower, like the rocky and barren soil it grows in. A mix of deep roots that allow it to reach the deepest caverns for water, petals far tougher and stronger than they appear, and a stem bendable enough to survive repeated stomps, Martrud's Hope has survived far longer then any Greenskin Wolf or Boat that ever trampled it"

Here's the new WIP update of the Eye of Terror / Abaddon project.
I'm very much in the middle of figuring out how to best place the fire. Conceptually it is engulfing the black legion below, and reaching about halfway up Abby's body.

Played some SFO for TWWH3 and got Miao Ying peppered by Peasant archers during the first few settlement battles. Was distracted marveling at the Sky-lantern squadrons that the mod has. Much better than just the 1 lantern.

The rest of the model, the backdrop and the many little epic scale marines are unpainted and still primed black.
Four hours painting one face.
Paid off I reckon 😅
The rest of the osl is just the first bit of light placement sketching. It'll look much better eventually!
