Love the Toxteth Co-op mosaic on Eastdale Road. Mosaics like this are more than just decoration, they’re a vital part of the rich local heritage across #Wavertree. “Each For All And All For Each” is just as relevant today as it was in 1891 as we work together to support high streets across our city.
Glad that the Council Cabinet voted on the Rathbone / Wellington Roads junction improvements I’ve been campaigning for. These safer crossings on #Wavertree High Street are long overdue after years of accidents. Relieved it’s finally happening, as these works will keep pedestrians much, much safer.
Monk’s Well in #Wavertree, #Liverpool, bears an inscription from 1414, relating the local legend that all travellers must give alms at the local monastic building when drinking from the well or, should they not, a devil chained at the bottom would laugh. #TreasuryOfBritishFolklore #FolkloreThursday
