Did you know? While the Hallelujah Tower was built in 1954, it wasn't until 1978 that it became a Bell Tower. The chime bells rang for the first time on Christmas Eve of 1978. Merry Christmas from Wayfarers Chapel!

Join us in celebrating our 74th birthday!

The Chapel has been a sanctuary for wayfarers since its first worship service on May 13, 1951.

While we are saddened by the recent developments of the Chapel, we look forward to rebuilding and serving the community for another 74+ years.

Black and white photo of the interior of Wayfarers Chapel, located in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Central to this image is a large round clear window over the altar. There are three steps leading up to the altar, made from native Palos Verdes stones. They form a triangular apex in the center of the altar, which is made of the same material. This mimics the shape of the wooden surround to the round window above. Large pine trees can be seen through the window on the left and center. On the right, a large wall also built from the same stone is visible. Built by Frank Lloyd Wright Jr. in 1949, it is now being deconstructed to save the structure from landslides. Taken 2022

Visited Rancho Palos Verdes earlier this year with a friend. We explored sights like Wayfarers Chapel, which is being dismantled and moved due to the accelerated Portuguese Bend landslide threatening it. #California #Photography
