A waymark roundel on a wooden post, seen against green leaves and a distant view of fields and light sky. The roundel has a yellow arrow on a white background. Inside the broad arrow a white circle with stylised light green trees and the words "Heart of England Way" "PUBLIC FOOTPATH" in black letters. Beneath the waymark a rectangle repeating the name.
For #WaymarkWednesday I present The Heart of England Way.
A slightly chipped and scarred canalside iron waymarker; white text on a black background; a fancy-shaped top on a short straight upright; the whole about 3 feet (1 meter) high. The top reads "KINGS NORTON 13 MILES"; the upright bears these letters arranged vertically: "SONACS"
Another one for #WaymarkWednesday
"SONACS" stands for "Stratford [up]On Avon Canal Society"
A wooden post leaning at an angle. It has a yellow-painted top with two disc waymarks both saying in different formats "Unclaasified County Road"

Three waymarks painted on a sturdy tree trunk: blue horizontal stripe on white background; red circle on white background; black stripe on white background. To the right, low wooden steps lead up a path through a forest, the ground covered with dry brown leaves. An lone elderly hiker with skinny legs and wearing light coloured shorts, stooped under a medium sized blue rucksack, trudges up the steps into the distance.
Triple waymark from the Elbe valley.

Signs on a wooden pole among trees at a quiet road junction. Top to bottom:red triangle crossroads sign; 'fietspad' white on blue with red diagonal signifying the end; Dutch knooppunt 47 sign with directions to 46, 70, 18; long distance cycling route "LF3a naar Maastricht".
Yes, it's #WaymarkWednesday! My location an hour ago.
A dirt road leads through a dense forest of mixed trees, bracken etc. By the side of the road, fixed to a wooden pole, a white rectangle with a point to the right has three symbols painted: a red lozenge, a yellow rectangle and a blue ring. There is no lettering.
Celebrating #WaymarkWednesday with this cryptic delight from the Vosges (France).
Post yours with 'waymark' or 'fingerpost' anywhere in the text for it to show up in my Waymarks and Fingerposts feed.

A blue-on-white Monarch's Way waymark nailed at a crazy angle on an old crumbling wooden post c/o Dorset County Council.
To learn how to create a feed I set up a very simple one called "Waymarks and Fingerposts". So now, as well as #FingerpostFriday we can have #WaymarkWednesday. Here are two from my collection.
