She has various sailor tattoos as well as a neurodivergent infinity symbol, and wears a medical alert bracelet. She hold a spear in her hands with a banner attached which reads 'work is not worth' using the 'does not equal' symbol.

A simple digital illustration of a green and yellow griffin in a style similar to medieval bestiaries, carrying a banner in it's mouth that reads; you are not a burden! 'Not' is in larger text for emphasis. The background is light pink.

Finished a third sticker design for my anti-capitalist bestiary tonight. :D

‘Disability, Illness and Impairment are the Norms of Human History – Living Through This Labour Government’s Benefits Cuts Is Brutal’ Cutting disability benefits will do nothing but heighten the scapegoating of disabled people once again – how can a Labour Government introduce such a punitive measure? Ministers scramble to avoid Labour rebellion on disability benefit cuts Backbenchers may be allowed to abstain, a major climbdown from previous votes when rebels were suspended from the party

Every single Labour @teamlabouruk.bsky.social
or any other MP who abstains on #DisabilityBenefits cuts is voting *For* these cuts in practice. Such are the numbers.
They will be remembered as the MPs who enabled this. theguardian.com/politics/202...

Disability benefits aren’t “extra” money. They’re the bare minimum to survive in a world that disables us—through poverty, inaccessibility, and neglect. Cutting them isn’t reform. It’s state-sanctioned harm. Please support us. #DisabilityBenefits #WelfareNotWorkfare

1 "LCWRA: What Everyone Should Know"
• LCWRA provides essential support when you're too unwell to work
• It's not a luxury-it's survival for those facing serious illness or disability
• Every f1 cut from LCWRA = real people facing impossible choices
2 "Understanding Universal Credit's Three Paths"
Work group: Capable of working now
Work prep group: Building toward employment
X LCWRA: Unable to work due to health or disability
• LCWRA isn't about avoiding work-it's about recognizing human dignity when work isn't possible and it is only given when health professionals think health would worsen seriously otherwise.
] "LCWRA: Beyond the Acronym"
• It stands for Limited Capability for Work & Work-Related Activity
It stands between thousands of people and destitution
• It recognizes that sometimes health must come before work
Anyone could need this support tomorrow-that's why we defend it today.

Let me be clear: ramping up DWP assessments puts disabled people at immediate risk.

LCWRA exists to protect people from relentless scrutiny.

Shrinking that group just to make the stats look good? That will lead to preventable loss of life.

Two of the strongest predictors of suicide? Financial precarity—and being made to feel like a failure.

Labour’s #DisabilityBenefits cuts risk both. This isn’t reform. It’s reckless harm. #WelfareNotWorkfare

To window-dress the LCWRA cut, Labour’s float a “disability premium”—but only for those with lifelong conditions and no chance of improvement. Most will be excluded. There are no details. No consultation. And MPs are expected to vote. #DisabilityBenefits #WelfareNotWorkfare

An excellent article explaining why the DWP’s consultation regarding the planned changes to welfare is an absolute sham. I pray this green paper ends up in the high court and gets shown up for exactly what it is. #benefitcuts #disability #welfarenotworkfare #LabourAusterity #PIPcuts

MPs - Starmer says people too ill to work will be “protected.” But that protection already exists—it’s called LCWRA. Labour’s plan? Halve the money. Shrink the group. Strip the support. Don’t fall for the spin. Vote against these dangerous #DisabilityCuts. #WelfareNotWorkfare

I keep hearing people say “Right to try” is a rare good thing in Labour’s Green Paper.

Caution please. Without cast-iron guarantees, trying work could mean losing legally entitled transitional protection—now or later.

That could mean income dropping by 50%.

Keir Starmer is furious the OBR didn’t “price in” his fantasy that slashing #DisabilityBenefits will magically push people into work. But they went with evidence. Claimants, researchers, clinicians all know the likelier outcomes: collapse, crisis, and harm. #WelfareNotWorkfare

Labour’s new term ‘Universal Credit Health Element’ is a dodge—collapsing LCW & LCWRA into a vague blob to hide who’s hit hardest: folk medically assessed as unable to work. We reject this erasure. Words shape policy—this one’s rigged to cut. #WelfareNotWorkfare

“About 400,000 people are falling out of work due to sickness,” says Kendall. “The longer someone is signed off, the less likely they are to return.” Well, yes, because they’re sicker or disabled — not less willing. Illness and disability aren't a work ethic problem, Liz. #WelfareNotWorkfare

The DWP exaggerated a 50% rise in sick/disabled claimants into 383% — got called out, then quietly edited the press release two weeks later.

No apology. No correction note.

Misleading the public to justify cuts. Again.

Disability benefits are generous in the UK, are they? This week: PIP daily living rose by £1.25 (standard) or £1.85 (enhanced). That’s 1.7%.
Today: energy bills rose 6.4%.
That’s not generosity. It’s abandonment. #DisabilityBenefits #WelfareNotWorkfare

The group I've joined will be creating a "laymans" terms of the green paper questions to share so it's easier to understand.

Once that's done, there will be a collaborative answers document to share & make it even easier for all to respond.

Hang tight! ✊🏻

Headlines calling Britain the “sick man” of the developed world rely on selective data. Yes, disability claims have risen but not as much as claimed. UK’s trend reflects deep systemic issues not collapse. Spending is still within OECD norms. Stop leaking false propaganda, Labour. #WelfareNotWorkfare

Work coach shortage leads DWP to reduce support for Universal Credit claimants - NAO press release DWP has reduced the level of support it offers to Universal Credit claimants due to a shortage of available work coaches at jobcentres.

As a consultant clinical psychologist, I wouldn’t dream of making a policy decision without knowing who it could push into poverty, hospital—or an early grave. So why are MPs doing exactly that? It’s reckless. It’s indefensible. #WelfareNotWorkfare

In the wake of her spring statement, the chancellor finds herself being assailed on all sides. Some of the criticism coalesced around comments by Darren Jones, the chief secretary to the Treasury, after he compared benefit cuts to cutting his children's pocket money

VIP - IT WAS STARMER who first compared £5billion of #DisabilityBenefits cuts to cutting his children's pocket money to incentivise them to get a Saturday job. It WAS NOT JAMES according to an impeccable source to @thetimes.com!!! Will Starmer apologise too #WelfareNotWorkfare

Mental health problems are real. Removing diagnostic labels doesn't resolve them. Anti-psychiatry rhetoric has the effect of unravelling societal acceptance that mental health problems are real & that sufferers require support not discrimination.

#WelfareNotWorkfare

In my opinion MH diagnostic labelling (e.g. depression, anxiety) is not the problem, it's the prejudicial attitudes that surface in response to hearing these labels. Stigma & discrimination needs eradicating not a scaling back of diagnostic practice.
