Ripley Castle in North Yorks has a few that are labelled as #Wellingtonia trees - a species of #Sequoia or giant redwood. They really are quite massive!
Had no idea we had some many across the UK. We do like to collect on our travels though! 😉

The number of Fieldfares & Redwings tells me that we have some cold weather coming.

#ThickTrunkThursday : Filling the #RedSquirrel nut box on the side of a #Wellingtonia (OK, Sequoia giganteum) with the Puppy.
One had just hopped up and away when we walked towards the box but I only saw it at the last moment as it was so well camouflaged. Puppy very confused how it went up.
