Took the kids to #WhitneyPlantation today. There are many moving things to see but I am featuring the Hall Memorial of 18 granite walls of over 107,000 names of #slaves from the Louisiana Slave Database. Among the names seen here:

The entire experience was hard, however, being this, Is this something to both of us ? I don't want to say ancestors because it makes it found. Built long ago, but this case would have had my great grandmother's mother, grandmother, her great grandmother honor. I can't imagine being ripped apart from my children, my parents, my husband of no fault of my own show believe, inspire black SBE.
