News and festive happenings at The Grapes We hope this email finds you well.  It's been a busy old time at The Grapes this month......hard to believe we were closed this time last year and while we remain cautious there are some fun events coming up we thought you should know about, as well as a competition to name the rooms of our BnB now we finally have some cashflow to sort them out. First up is a play written about the history of the house and the first tenants who lived here, Richard and Alice Gay.  Entitled 'Ghost Stories at The Grapes', the Dress Rehearsal is this Thursday but there are ten nights fitting around other activities that regularly take place up in the Living Room, such as Life Drawing with Melissa and Budō, the Japanese izakaya that is here at the weekends....but more on that in a minute. Bath Carnivals are going to be using the upstairs event space starting this weekend with a Fresh Wreath Making Workshop with two sessions a day on Saturdays and Sundays continuing into the first weekend of December. We won't be putting the decorations up until December but we're looking forward to it....in the meantime we have come up with some fun cocktails for the festive season and hope to welcome old friends and visitors to the bar while the city enjoys various markets around the Abbey, Queens Square and people flock to see Luke Jerram's Museum of the Moon and enjoy some ice skating in Victoria Park. There will of course be a constant supply of mulled cider if you're feeling nippy and on Sunday 19th December, as we wind down towards the big day, Bath Skiffle will be doing a festive sing-a-long in the bar and bringing song sheets for you all to join in. Ho ho ho!
