At 1pm, 122 St. pedestrian bridge over the Whitemud is being cleared. To the north, the 122 St. MUP is being cleared too. There are two machines working on that route. It should be done in another couple of hours - will confirm

Using the sidewalks where necessary, I made a detour thru Westbrook & got to the Powr line at 119 St.. It was smooth sailing all the way to Haddow & Riverbend Rd. I even saw the dude clearing the MUP & thanked him for the sweet swath of clean path. ❄️😎❄️

I ran errands today, partly on protected infrastructure -which wasn't exactly safe b/c snow clearing was bungled- and on sidewalks the rest of the way -b/c I did not want to get killed by a car driver.

122 St from 40th Ave to 63rd Ave is now cleared to hard-packed. The farm is pretty good but the Belgravia Bridge is pretty dodgy. The bridge over the Whitemud at 122 is ”Say your Prayers“ slippery. Yipes!

Sigh. You'd think that the city of Edmonton winter snow removal crew would understand how to prevent ice forming; ie: don't brush the bike lane just before freezing rain. Unless, of course, you *want* a curling rink.
