My wife and I went out on the motorcycle this morning so I could push over the 500-mile mark on our trip to AZ. This brings the total miles ridden this Winter to 1,537.
All-in-all, that's a pretty good Winter!
We were treated to a beautiful sunset on our last night in AZ too.

It was a cool 8:30 a.m. start to the motorcycle lunch ride today, but finished around 87° as I was headed to home base in mid-afternoon.
I put about 150 miles on the bike today.

Almost 105 miles ridden in the 73° temps yesterday.
A bottle of Belle Meade Reserve bourbon. I always look for these when I bourbon hunt, as it has great taste for not a lot of money.
A friend and I spent the afternoon riding motorcycles yesterday - after replacing the battery on his brand new Harley. 😡
I also ran across a less-common, but good “daily drinker” bottle that I search for when bourbon hunting Wauchula, FL. Yay!

A friend traded in his sport bike for a “new” 2024 Road Glide Ultra.
We put on just over 190 miles in the mid-80° temps (while much of the country is shut down with shitty weather).

Zoey is pretty far off the trail (for her, anyway).
It’s cooler than normal in Florida, but she is liking this weather much better than she would the light dusting of snow and the -13° wind chill back at home.

The temps are moving in the right direction.
Great winter view with green grass, deciduous trees that still have leaves on them, and palm trees.
Back to working on the Birkenstock sandal tan. I’m slowly getting rid of the perms-sock line tan in retirement.
Sipping on a local Iowa beer here in Florida. I brought down my supply of Barn Town Brewing’s “Don’t Call Me Shirley” beer. Flavored like Shirley Temple!
This is the way to spend winter days - warm temps, deciduous trees that still have leaves on the branches, and still-green grass.
FYI, the pool is too cool to swim in, or I’d be there.
