Mini art journal page of an owl. The background is fluorescent pink. The owl is stylised and whimsical. Drawn in water soluble black pencil and lightly washed to give the owl a slight grey tint. Then drawn over again in black paint pen to darken the outline. Bright yellow and black dots pattern her wings. Black and white dots around her face. She has a pair of antlers on her head, (I know, it's my thing). Between her antlers is a bright yellow crown. Down the side of the owl is Stamped the word "Queen". There is white scribbled journaling down the right side of the page. Also in the image on the left are the pink and yellow paint pens used.

Yesterday, on my walk up to the village, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, the birds were singing and the butterflies were dancing. It was nice to see an Orange Tip and Brimstone, don't see them often.

Mini art journal spread. A quirky, semi-abstract spirit owl sits on the right hand page of the journal. Lots of collage papers, mark making, leafy doodles and scribbled journal writing grow out from her and surround her.
