Sukeban versions of Bris, Yugiri, and Yotsuyu can be seen walking down the street. They're chatting indistinctly, and Yotsuyu holds a tomephone up for a selfie. Someone can be seen leaning against the wall, face out of frame. The mysterious person says, "See, what'd I tell you, big guy? I knew they'd come this way."

The mystery person is revealed as a punk version of Hien. He's cut out a section of his jacket sleeve to look like a scare (because he's an idiot). He has a pompadour dyed blonde, with the rest of his undercut hair being black, and he has a black chin strap beard. Behind him is Gosetsu, in the same uniform, but wearing a cap. Yugiri: "Oh, by the kami. I was having such a good day too." Hien: "Well, well, long time, no see, Yugiri. How've you been, doll?" Yugiri: "If you call me that again, first, I'm going to throw up. And then I'm going to gut you with these daggers." Gosetsu: "That's a direct threat, boss. We cannot let them besmirch our honor thus. Want me to teach them a lesson?" Hien: "Now, now. We're not here for violence, big guy. Just to talk."

Bris has her hands on her hips now and looks towards Yugiri with a bit of concern. Yugiri is slumped over, palm to her face. Bris: "Who in the hells is this weirdo? You know this creep, Yugiri? I ain't ever seen him before." Yugiri: "Unfortunately, yes. I do know this idiot. His name is Hien. We attended the same high school. He attends the Doman Leadership University now."

Hien has one hand to his chest, and runs another hand along his pompadour. He has a smug, self-assured look. Gosetsu has a hand on his head and appears to be confused. Yugiri, from off-screen: "and he's my ex." Hien: "That's right, peasants. You're looking at the only person who ever melted the legendary Ice Queen's heart." Gosetsu: "...wait, what is it we're doing here again, then...?"

Don't you just hate running into someone who hasn't moved on? Sukeban Yugiri sure does.

An Old Flame (1/2)

Yugiri and Bris lean against a balcony rail in a mansion. Yugiri is dressed nicely in a purple dress with green bows, and she has a green ribbon in her hair. Bris is wearing her usual outfit. Yugiri: "You're not dressed yet? You're the guest of honor! You can't be late!" Bris: "Nah, I been putting it off. They want me to wear some fancy suit instead of my usual nice clothes. But...you're right. I should get going before someone gets mad."

Thancred, wearing a white dress shirt and slacks with black vest and tie now stands next to Yugiri. Thancred looks at Yugiri with a bit of concern, and Yugiri sands with her hands to her heart and a somewhat blank expression. An announcer calls out, "And now ladies and gentlemen of Sharlayan, allow me to introduce the guest of honor for tonight's gala!" Thancred: "Well, at least she wasn't late. But are you quite all right, Yugiri?" Yugiri: "O-Oh, yes. It's just...seeing her dressed like that..."

Bris descends a staircase with a confident smirk as the announcer shouts, "Lady Brisingr Amur, the Warrior of Light!" Bris is dressed in a black suit with a green undershirt and dark red tie.

The shot is now back to Thancred and Yugiri. Thancred is leaned over slightly as if in pain, with a palm to his face. Yugiri is blushing deeply now, fanning herself with one hand and resting the other on her hip. Yugiri says, "I think I'm pregnant." Thancred: "...oh, dear gods. Behave! We're in public!"

Well, it wasn't originally for this but someone's being introduced and there's an au ra so I guess it's Day 1 of #AuraApril2026

Bris has now come up to Yugiri. Kiseki is sitting in Yugiri's lap, and they both look up at Bris. Bris's left hand is outstretched and touches Yugiri's cheek. Bris's thought bubble reads, "Yet, her little hands have never hesitated to hold what's left of mine. Her bright eyes never been afraid of my scars. And your smile..."

Bris has now pulled Yugiri and Kiseki into an embrace, her arm wrapped around Yugiri's shoulder. Another thought bubble next to Bris reads, "Once more, your smile saved me from myself. So I swear, no matter what, I'll make sure this one arm is equal to the four that hold it, that this one eye reflects the love in yours."

Bris gets a small reminder that she's worth it, after all.

They continue speaking, "But then, Alphinaud's son comes over and tells me how excited he is to be like his aunt. And not long ago, Shtola figured out how to open the rift again. So, Ryne and Gaia come to dinner every week. They talk to me about how the First is recovering. That's your legacy. I want to hear so much more."

A further out shot now. We see a grave with crossed swords. Beneath the crossed swords is a framed photo of Bris, but her hair is all white. She wears no eye patch, but she smiles wide. The person sitting in front of her grave has au ra horns beneath a mourning veil. they say "And then, Alisaie will come over. She always manages to find a new story about her travels to tell me. Lamaty'i comes by with Gulool Ja sometimes. You really made an impression on those two."

We now see the speaker's face as she has removed her veil: it is Yugiri. She's sad and looks to the side as she says, "As much as I want to be with you, Brisingr, my love, I want to see the world they build by the path your silhouette left them. So please, can you wait for me just a little longer?" Just behind her, someone else can be see standing wearing an orange robe and with rainbow scales on their hands.

I'm here to commit violence.

Same shot but Yotsuyu is now looking up with a frown, narrowed eyes and furrowed brow.

A shot from over Yotsuyu's shoulder. In the middle of the room, we see sukeban Bris on all fours with an ab roller in her hands. She's wearing a green track suit and black shoes. Yugiri, in purple pajama pants and a purple tank top, is sitting on Bris's back, holding her ears. Neither of them appear to be aware of Yotsuyu yet. Bris says, "I still don't get what of my training this is supposed to help me with. So --" and Yugiri says, "Last I checked, motorcycles just rev. Now, less talk and more purring like a well-tuned engine. So --"

Yugiri and Bris have now realized they have company. Yugiri has her hands to her chest and appears to be gasping. Bris's ears are flattened and her eyes are wide and mouth open. The shout in unison "OI! THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?!" and "VICE-PRESIDENT?! WHY ARE YOU HERE?!" Yotsuyu replies, "You know what? Never mind. I'll leave the paperwork here, and I'm going back to my dorm room for a stiff drink. Just fill out when you're done with...whatever this is."

Vice-Prez gets a little more than she bargained for entering without knocking first.

The ARR version of Bris in fuller, more complete robes and shorter hair faces down Ultima. She looks up at the creation, sword drawn in her left hand and held ready

Bris trudges forward at the end of the Amaurot dungeon. Behind her, her allies are collapsed, but she presses forward. Her posture is exhausted, and she isn't even carrying her sword - simply dragging it behind her as she moves on.

A shot now in a yard. Bris is leaned against a tree and passed out, taking a nap. Just barely in the background, Yugiri is visible at the gates. Shouting dialogue boxes overlap with each other as several voices call out "Miss Amur! Miss Amur! Just a quick statement!" "Is it true the Scions of the Seventh Dawn disbanded?!" "Please, just one question for the Kugane Daily Gazette!" Over them all, Yugiri shouts, "HEY!"

Yugiri stands now in front of a pack of reporters and paparazzi. She looks furious and her arms are crossed in front of her. The reporters are taking notes and pointing off-screen towards Bris. Yugiri says, "If you wake her up, the only things getting printed are your obituaries. Now, kindly remove yourself from my presence!"

At the Dotharl village, Sadu can be seen suplexing another member of her tribe as she shouts, "So you thought you could cheat against me and get away with it! Never!" She slams him into a table next to a game board. In the background, Gosetsu and Yugiri seem shocked while Bris pumps her fist in the air and shouts "That's right! Show 'em who's boss!"

A closer shot now of Gosetsu, Bris and Yugiri. Bris is gesturing in the direction of Sadu. Gosetsu scratches his head and says, "I just do not understand it, Mistress Brisingr. Her?" Bris replies, "You're just gonna have to trust me on this one, Gosetsu. She's the kinda woman you wanna keep." Yugiri is lost in thought, with a a thought-style dialogue box next to her reading, "My how...violent. Is this truly the kind of ally we --"

A closer shot now of Yugiri and Bris. Bris is still looking off-screen at Gosetsu and gesturing towards Sadu. Yugiri however now looks quit irritated and says "She's the kind of woman you what?"

Bris is now stumbling forward and falling with a wide-eyed, surprised and pained expression on her face. Her ears are perked and her left arm flails. Yugiri is delivering a kick to the back of Bris's knee as she yells, "Next time, you can keep those comments to yourself, Lady Bris!" Bris only shouts in pain as she stumbles.

Bris and Yugiri are indoors in lounge wear. Yugiri has a sweater and pajama pants, Bris has a housecoat-style top and pajama pants. Yugiri is rubbing her arms and looks at Bris, saying, "It's freezing in here, Bris. Can't we turn up the heat?" Brus shrugs and looks back, replying "You're always such a baby in the winter. Bet you're just gonna have to wait. I already started a fire, and the kotatsu ain't ready yet."

Yugiri has now crept up closer to Bris, and she's got her hands hidden inside the back of Bris's housecoat. Yugiri: "I'm afraid I can't wait that long, so let me just steal a bit of your warmth." Bris: "Oi! Don't you dare! Let's not be hasty! Yugiri! Keep your hands off me!"

Yugiri and Bris from just the shoulders up. Yugiri is smiling sweetly, and Bris has a blank look on her face. But Bris's colors are inverted. The moment has arrived as she feels the chill of Yugiri's hands.

Bris now with her arm up and head tilted back as she screams, mouth wide open. An insert panel of Yugiri is visible with a self-satisfied smirk and a small dialogue box reading, "Ahh, that's much better. You're such a sweetheart."

I actually have one ready at a decent time today so it's Day 8 of Miqo March: Warmth.

Bris's lizard doesn't do well in the wintertime, but she does know exactly where to get the heat.

A shot again of Bris and Yugiri. Yugiri is still standing behind Bris with her right hand on Bris's hip. In her left, she guides and stretches Bris's left arm. Yugiri: "Lady Brisingr and I were just completing some training." Bris: "I still don't understand how this is supposed ta help..."

Minilia now has her hands steepled in front of her face as she gives a sly, smug smirk at the other two. Minfilia: "Oh, I do believe this is the beginning of something wonderful." Yugiri: "L-Lady Minfilia?!" Bris: "...oi, what's with that weird expression...?"

"I said no buts!" Bris reached into a knapsack and tossed some leather waterskins to Alisaie. "We got no idea when we'll have another chance ta fill up. And, we need some fer cookin' dinner." Alisaie didn't move. "Well? If I have ta ask again, yer not gonna like it." She glared at both twins, and then each scurried out of the cave. She sat on a rock and laid her sword next to her, staring at the cave entrance. Yugiri sat next to her. "I can read yer face, y'know," Bris said. She continued looking out of the cave, watching the twins separate as they began their chores. "I shan't say it then, Lady Bris," Yugiri replied with a light giggle. She kicked her feet up. "I hope the esteemed Warrior of Light won't think ill of her hosts for the sleeping arrangements. It's no noble's lodgings in Ishgard or the down pillows of Mor Dhona's adventuring guild, I'm afraid."

I was gonna wait til tomorrow to post this but dang it, I really like it so I'm posting it now instead. Here's another story for Bris's main canon, as she and her companions finally reach Doman shores in Stormblood.
