#AliceInWonderland #WoodenTrain details: #MadHatter #MarchHare & #Doormouse. Hare & Doormouse = scraps of canvas, painted facial details. Hare's whiskers = bits of thread. Used #miniature ceramic teapot; glued lid to side. Fabric tablecloth, teapot acts as #SteamFunnel (to Doormouse's distress!).

I used a sweet #miniature ceramic teapot ~ glued lid to the side so The Doormouse has his home. The #woodentrain body has a fabric tablecloth & the teapot acts as #SteamFunnel (much to Doormouse's distress!).

2nd of my little #AliceInWonderland #WoodenTrain is done. WAY TOO proud of it. Making the #MadHatter, #MarchHare, & #Doormouse was so fun. The March Hare & Doormouse are made of little pieces of canvas fabric; I painted their faces. March Hare whiskers are bits of sewing thread.

#Thor #WoodenTrain w/handcrafted #Mjölnir! The helmet was hard - it's made of three glued together tiny things: half a wooden diamond-conical shaped bead, a piece of rubber tread from a broken #ThomasAndFriends #Thumper, & wings I made of fabric. Once all glued, I painted the finished helmet silver.

Made my first "from scratch" #woodentrain bases. Cut the wood, drilled holes, & put in the axles. Compressing the axles together wasn't easy 'cuz I'm not strong. But, some extra force on my part & a big hammer did the trick. These 2 trains will be inspired by my lifelong love of #AliceInWonderland.

Love of #CaptainCarter in a custom #woodentrain ❤️ Old shaky hands = not great handpainting tiny faces, shields, & flag designs (or ANY designs 🤣), but I like her! Designing hair out of frayed beige material & painting a custom-mixed auburn was a fun & crazy challenge. My 2 little grandsons love her!

#painting for 2.5yo grandson. His love of "Blue Train" comes from #BlueTrain by #JohnnyCash. Made #woodentrain to replicate in painting. Grandson requested: blue castle, based on 3D wooden castle I painted for both my grandsons; Elsa's "Blue Horse of Water" in #Frozen; cardinal flying in the sky.

6yo grandson requested a Cousin Charlotte #woodentrain. She's his mom's cousin (my niece) who's in High School. He said, "Make it a basketball one, red & white for her team, & her game face!" so . . . I tried. His beliefs in my artistic abilities are somewhat belied by actual artistic abilities! ❤️

I used a couple of the finger-pulls on the seals of my non-dairy creamer bottles for the horns. I formed the curls by soaking in HOT water & then QUICKLY curling & clamping & running under cold water 😁🔥💦😁
