DC has been working for over 2 1/2 years to put a higher railing on the Taft Bridge (Connecticut Avenue over Rock Creek Park).
The higher fence would be a suicide prevention measure, as half the bridge suicides in DC from 2010-2022 were from Taft Bridge.
