#WooriTheVirgin was a hot mess since the beginning. It had potential when it embraced its meta, and it’s not like it doesn’t have good moments, but ultimately failed to deliver a proper development for their characters and the story.

I know people are upset with the #WooritheVirgin finale. What actually happened did occur in the CW version; it's just that there were more seasons afterwards to change up the series' ending. #WooriTheVirginEp14
The series was hit or miss for me, but the ending wasn't an issue.
#WooritheVirgin puts a makjang spin on beloved telenova takeoff w/mixed results. Show keeps original's plot overview, matriarchal love & religious respect but switches out title spitfire lead for a kdrama Candy. Love triangle stays strong until end. Support characters shine.
Nam Mi-Jung in #WooritheVirgin always understands the assignment. Villainy makjang hilarious perfection!
Whenever there's a totally bonkers character, you know the actor/actress is having a blast! And Nam Mi-Jung is killing it in this role. Her comedic timing is perfection!

I'm really taken by Sung Hoon in the role of Raphael in #WooriTheVirgin. His delivery and approach really brings something that fits in with the whole makjang vibe going on, but also makes the love triangle a legitimate contest with Shin Dong Wook's Lee Kang Jae.

It looks like it took 2 one-hour episodes of #WooritheVirgin for the FL to reach the decision to give birth vs. one 40-minute episode for #JanetheVirgin.
I'm liking #WooriTheVirgin so far. I'm going to rewatch the first ep. of #JanetheVirgin and compare and contrast.
The main characteristic of #WooritheVirgin is that, like #JanetheVirgin on which it's based on, it's full of melodrama trope deliciousness ratcheted up several notches. The fact that the poster looks like one from a daytime soap is intentional.
