Today, the SRC has written to the @uofglasgow Principal requesting a clear, public update on what progress has been made – and what still needs to happen.

With regards to Moodle and the enrolment system @uofglasgow.bsky.social, one student wrote:
"It almost feels as if it is deliberately trying to make everything as difficult as possible."

Is this the experience we want for any student, including disabled students?

One student described their difficulty in navigating the newly redesigned MyCampus portal which students must use daily to find their emails, support, timetable and more 💻

However, it's not just lecture recordings that are creating barriers for @uofglasgow.bsky.social students.

They also reported issues around the University's other digital systems, such as the UofG Life App, Moodle, My Campus and more 📲♿️

Students also told us that closed captioning would have a hugely positive benefit for them, both online and in person where possible.

One student shared this story around their struggle to keep up with their course due to their lecture recordings being released late in the term.

This is not an isolated incident - many of the other responses reflect this story.

Lifts, doors, ramps and stairs all over campus were mentioned in submissions sent to us by disabled students.
