The Internet tells me it’s #worldpuffinday. So here are a couple of puffins, photographed off the Maine coast a few years ago.

Did you know that:
🐣 Baby puffins are called pufflings?
🧡 They dress to impress during the breeding season? They develop brightly-coloured bills, orange legs and very distinctive red and black eye markings.

I just learned that today is World Puffin Day. I had no idea that was a thing but I'm excited to know it exists!
