I think my most consistent #worldbuiding inspiration comes via designing/sketching a location or #battlemap. Laying out a settlement or scene just seems to bring a focus and attention to details that quickly spawn ideas and helps me to get to know the people of that place.

A scene happens in a rather calm tavern, during the afternoon. A young anthropomorphic dog barmaid is currently slipping over a wet floor, losing her footing and casting a plate and three pints of ale in the air my mistake. The patrons are surprised but none yet realises what is truely happening, except for the barman, whom is absolutely terrified.
The ninth tarot card ( The Hermit ) is represented here. The frame is fashioned with golden carvings. The content of the card is very much inspired by "Flammarion's Engraving" a (presumably) german wood engraving dating from the german renaissance. It depicts a landscape covered by several spheres of golden stars, complete with hills, forests and villages. over the firmament is represented a golden Empyrean that takes up the remaining half of the image. In the foreground, an anthropomorphic figure of a savant is taking notes gazing at the heavens. His telescope is peering beyond the firmament while his lantern radiates in the lower parts of the image.
