The mold split areas sucked, the details got muddled in a lot of spots, the assembly was difficult and nearly every one had a part break off while working. Was just dissatisfied at every step. Talking to one of the game designers, he told me that these models released after he left the project and less... passionate...people were brought on. It shows.
See? Not Battletech.
I've had these on my desk for MONTHS. Everything about these minis was frustrating (alt text), so I just couldn't get motivated.
That said, looking forward to getting them on the table this weekend

#wrathofkings deserved better. Director's Cut Games is an indie studio started by the main designer of that game and Relic Knights, and he's rewriting both games without any of CMoN's IP in them. They're even designing models for their all-new factions.

WIP. I just have to say that I love Two Thin Coats color Top Brass. It's such a soft color that looks great by itself, and a simple wash makes it pop. It has niche applications, IMO, but it's great for my current army project.

This is the kind of thing where, for multiple army soldiers, SpeedPaint would excel...but even with the new formula, I find red to be unforgiving of mistakes. So, for this small area, I used base + wash + Two Thin Coats glaze for hi lights
