...my background painting. I even went crazy with the designs on the presents to make it more GOW feely! For those familiar with GOWand my Benjamin and Stretch character designs and their relationship, you will get what it means! However, it is a very non-canon idea just made for fun, nothing more. So here's a little story I created at the top of my head! "In the cozy little house of the Carmine family, Little Benjamin Carmine just happened to playfully throw his "Bolo Grenade" rattler from across the living room. It happened to slide near the Christmas tree, which was consumed by the colorfully wrapped gifts underneath. He was attentive to get back his toy and crawled towards it to get closer to the tree. Then... there was a small rustle that came from the branches underneath the tree and the sound of a growl came along afterwards. Little Ben's attention to the rattler was interrupted quickly and he turned to find the source of the unusual sound. He was soon crawling over the red carpet to get underneath the tree, and he was able to find the bearer of the sound. It was a Wretch. Not just any Wretch, it was a Baby Wretch! Scared of Little Ben approaching him, the Wretch snarled and placed himself behind the tree bark. Around his neck he had a ribbon, being presented as Ben's gift from his mother to him. But now that Ben has seen his present exposed before Christmas time had arrived, he turned to his incoming mother and said out loud, "Stretch!", which was a mispronunciation from the word "Wretch". Then his mother, not knowing that Ben was trying to pronounce "Wretch", picked up Little Ben and carried him to his crib to say, "Okay, we'll call your new pet Stretch."" Merry Christmas you guys, and hope you all have a great Happy New Year! I wish you all the greatness that is going to come next year, and I spread all my love to you all for sticking around this long with me during my absences! I wouldn't have still been here without you guys! Enjoy!

So what we have here is an entirely fixed concept of Stretch, the Wretch that Ben finds possibly during his first time going out in the field as a Gear. I have no backstory made for them yet, but that'll be made soon! Just to warn those out there, it will not follow as a canon story to the Gears of War series, because the idea of a Locust and Human developing a connection is something that will never be seen in such a series. It'll be a exploration of Benjamin and Stretch's relationship! As for his design, I would have him on a spiked collar, but that was taken away to help support a certain aspect in his story. Besides, the most prominent feature I kept was the long hairs almost acting as a tomahawk. Oh, and of course the long bottom fangs. Enjoy!
I've been trying to save this piece before I got some other sketches to represent Ben and Stretch's relationship, but this drawing have been done months ago so I couldn't bear seeing it sit in my folders for long. (continued in Alt Text!)
