Last full day of #YNY2025! And ofc I'm 15m late to AM1 ๐๐ญ but, I'm better slept that yesterday *and* will catch more of it than yesterday, & finally have my tech transitions between spaces / classes a little more figured out!
Now I just have to not let the windstorm in Seattle knock me out today ๐ค
A black and white image of a seated violinist next to a mic stand looking off to their left is surrounded by a themed Yiddish New York frame - the middle half is gold, and the top and bottom bands are burgundy, and there is an illustration of a pigeon on a branch facing the viewer in the bottom right corner. The top red band includes text reading "500 Years of Yiddish Bangers w/ Mai Li Pittard" The lower left corner features Yiddish New York's logo, which is a pastiche of the Yiddish letters nun and two yuds, in a pattern that almost mimics a sixteenth note or a plant. Next to the logo reads the text "Yiddish New York December 20-25, 2025 Tickets on sale now! yiddishnewyork.com" Under the pigeon in the lower right corner is small text reading "This session will be online only." The violinist in the center of the frame wears a metal cutout filigree bracelet on their bow hand, which rests on their lap with their bow strewn to their left, and their violin tucked neatly under their bow arm between their forearm and hip. Their left hand is touching the back of their head as they look into the distance. They have toussled wavy/curly dark hair that is short on the sides and medium on top and are wearing a black, sleeveless shirt with a decorated halter neckline, dark slacks, and glasses.
One week til I make my faculty debut at #YiddishNewYork #YNY2025! If how much I'm cackling at the tweaks to this 3rd iteration of this class are any indication, this is going to be a hugely fun and wild speedrun through history in just 4 sessions.
Can't wait! til PM2!
The cat is out of the bag!
