Transferring repos relevant to my LLC to a GitHub org. Adding a link between GH and my LLC website. That needs the CF distro ID. which comes from terraform. Which is way out of date. And DNSimple decided TXT records needs their values quotes. And Heroku has changed all their plan names. #YakShaving

So you start to answer an AskTom question with a demo. That demo needs an RU on your local db and then an update of the timezone file. The combo of that with your demo finds an outlier bug. You try an unsupported hack to workaround it and now the db wont start. #fml #YakShaving

TIL: you can use Gentoo’s emerge package manager to put stuff on your Chromebook.
Also: the dev_install script will erase /usr/local
And: currently buggy, so emerge will not be installed
TLDR: use chromebrew & if mongo doesn’t install, move on with your life
