#Tanna 15 – At the 21 km mark of the #YasurVolcanoRun, we’re on the ash plain at the foot of the volcano. The legs are cramping already and there’s still a wall to climb… but the view takes your breath away! 🌋

#Tanna 13 – The #YasurVolcanoRun trail, covering 26 km (800 m ascent) and 38 km (950 m ascent), took us through spectacular landscapes.

#Tanna 11 – Supporting local communities, France is a player, not a spectator! Present on the ground with a civilian-military team for the #YasurVolcanoRun (26 km +800 m / 38 km +950 m) with colleagues from our armed forces (FANC) and Expertise France.

#Tanna 10 – The #YasurVolcanoRun is a one-of-a-kind international trail on an active volcano: 26 km (+800 m) and 38 km (+950 m) courses led by local communities. A Japanese champion and runners from New Caledonia joined — a challenge worth taking!

#Tanna 9 – France, sponsor of the #YasurVolcanoRun trail, provided funding for 120 young local volunteers stationed along the course to ensure the smooth running and safety of the race. Wearing yellow T-shirts, they proudly display the embassy logo. #Cooperation #Sport

#Tanna 8 – The #YasurVolcanoRun trail begins with a traditional welcome dance on White Sand Beach in Port Resolution, in the east of the island—the very spot where Captain James Cook landed in 1774. No Englishmen in sight that morning 😉

#Tanna 12 – Le Puma des Forces Armées en Nouvelle-Calédonie (FANC), engagé par ailleurs dans des exercices sur l’île, est venu saluer depuis le ciel les coureurs du trail #YasurVolcanoRun au moment du départ ! 🌋🚁

#Tanna 11 – En soutien aux communautés locales, la France actrice, pas spectatrice ! Présente sur le terrain avec une équipe civilo-militaire pour le trail #YasurVolcanoRun (26 km 800 D+ / 38 km 950 D+), avec des collègues des Forces Armées en Nouvelle-Calédonie (FANC) et d'Expertise France.

#Tanna 10 – Le trail #YasurVolcanoRun est une course internationale unique au monde, sur un volcan actif, de 26 km (800D+) et 38 km (950D+), organisée par les communautés locales. Un champion japonais et des coureurs calédoniens y participaient. Il fallait relever le défi !

#Tanna 9 – La France, partenaire du trail #YasurVolcanoRun, a permis de rémunérer 120 jeunes volontaires locaux postés tout au long du parcours pour la fluidité et la sécurité de la course. En t-shirt jaune, ils portent fièrement le logo de l’ambassade. #Coopération #Sport

#Tanna 8 – Le trail #YasurVolcanoRun s’ouvre par une danse coutumière de bienvenue sur la plage de White Sand, à Port Resolution, dans l’est de l’île - là même où le capitaine James Cook a débarqué en 1774. Aucun Anglais à l’horizon ce matin-là 😉
