You can find it on the site of the Upper Cut Club where Hendrix wrote the lyrics to Purple Haze before going on stage there in the 1960s 💜

Streetartwall. A portrait of actor Cillian Murphy in his role as "Bill Furlong" in the movie "Small Things Like These" was sprayed/painted on the exterior wall of a two-story building. The mural is mainly in shades of green and shows a young man who can be seen up to his shoulders. He wears a black woolly hat and a coat and looks thoughtfully in front of him. Colorful lights can be seen in the background, which extend over a long adjacent wall. Only a part of the mural can be seen in the photo. A simple silhouette of the city is painted next to the portrait.This side will be completed in December 2024 by another artist. Info: This new mural celebrates both the recent movie and the book (written by Claire Keegan), which tell a powerful story set in New Ross. The book and movie are set in an Irish town in 1985. In the weeks leading up to Christmas, Bill Furlong, a coal and timber merchant, is facing his busiest time. As he makes his rounds, he senses the past closing in on him - and encounters the complicit silence of a people controlled by the church.

Streetartwall. In memory of the legendary concerts at "The Upper Cut" club in London, a fantastic mural featuring Jimi Hendrix was sprayed/painted on the outside of a two-story building (12 x10 m). The image is photorealistic and shows him in a purple suit and an orange paisley shirt. He looks at the viewer with a penetrating but calm gaze. His hand is casually resting on his face. Below the mural is a pharmacy. He is practically leaning on it. Next to Jimi is a purple text that refers to the club and looks like an old advertisement. It reads: "The Upper Cut: "Billy Walker presents The Jimi Hendrix Experience" as well as advertisements for stars such as Nina Simone, The Who, Small Faces, The Animals Stevie Wonder and many more. Info: The Upper Cut Club was a former ice skating rink that owner Billy Walker converted into a "plush big beat palace" for 200,000 pounds. The concert list in the opening week of 1966 was breathtaking. Jimi Hendrix's first appearance cost just five shillings.
