There are ~2,600 anthropologists registered at #AAA2024Tampa. Which is actually down from 4,100 the year before. Florida has had a chilling effect.

Sitting in a session on NAPA’s proposal of standards of practice for professional, practicing, & applied anthropologists. A really useful effort attempting to codify an anthro approach to knowledge, respect for subjects, self-reflexivity, limits, etc., for both anthros & clients.
