#AAASmtg in Phoenix was such a treat--talks on primates communicating with gestures; water scarcity in the US; building trustworthy, sturdy data infrastructure; the promises and peril of AI; and so much more. Lots to think about on the way home! And I met so many interesting and kind people.

Let me be blunt - the fact that Greene had contact with Epstein after his 2008 conviction for solicitation of a minor for ANY REASON tells me exactly what I need to know.

No acknowledgment of why Brian Greene, a known associate of Jeffery Epstein, was removed from a @aaas.org plenary discussion at #AAASmtg #AAAS2026 is egregious.
The insult to injury? Listening to his replacement say he ‘wishes he was listening to Greene present as well’.
The @aaas.org conference had a fun “Bingo” game, where you had to find Easter Eggs signs at the talks or in the Expo room, and scan the QR code, or fill out the hashtag. Currently, five people are in the leaderboard……
